Newssystem
From October 25th 2009 on I made a newssystem on the Dutch version of W2D Fan. This newssystem is fully supported by Web to Date 6.0.
Continued Newssystem
The news has to be filled manually, like you have to do this in your website. This system only works well when it is being used by one webmaster and it only works in a xhtml-template. It is filled like a timeline. I choose to a line per month, but if you have news more or less frequently you can also choose for a dayly, weekly or monthly timeline.
But keep in mind that for every new period in the timeline a new subpage need to be made.
Besides that I would like the newssystem to be spacesaving, so I work with folding parts
The advantage of this system is that it can be used without any problem in Web to Date 6.0 as well as Web to Date 5.0 and you can even embed images in it if you wish. It also has the advantage that you can build easily a news archive.
