Textomat

On october 13th 2010 DataBecker released a plugin for Web to Date 7 en Shop to Date 7 that you can buy additionally. This plugin in called Textomat and at this moment it is only available in German Language. The plugin performs the function of a text editor. This means that with Textomat you can create text modules just the way you like them. A different background color, a different font, a picture as background, larger font, different spacing, center text, framed, bullets, etc. There are enough opportunities. The plugin automatically adjusts to your chosen design, whereupon to some extent you can do what you want. For those who have little or no knowledge of HTML and CSS certainly a good solution. Those who are familiar with HTML and CSS can create basically the same results in other ways. But whether you're experienced with HTML and CSS or not Textomat certainly simplified the work.

Below I will show you a few examples what you can do with Textomat in a very simple way.

You can give the background of a text module and even the text another colour. You can choose any fonttype you want and even increase the fontsize of a word or a sentence and/or underline.

But take care of the fact that your website is not a colourful carnival. Your website is your business card and the background colors in a module can seriously compromise your website.
Choose the fonttype you like, center the text and frame the module if you like that better.
So you can draw more attention to a module.

Ofcourse you can also use a background colour or  a background image if you like that. But if that makes it more beautiful is a matter of taste.
Create your own listing:
  • Listing 1
    • Listing 1a
  • Listing 1b
  • Listing 2

Put a link in your textmodule: http://www.w2dfan.nl

You can even put an image or an animated image in your module that you can position where you want. You can choose to have the text on the left or right side of the image. You can even center the text but you cannot choose to have text on both sides of the image

So you have numerous possibilities. In the meantime the developers of the plugin are working very hard on an update of the plugin because at this very moment you can experience some problems with this plugin. I have already tested some improvements, and the ball is back to the developers to solve the last problems. Hopefully within the next week or so the plugin will be completely free of problems.
