Web to Date 7

NEW --> Web to Date 7

Friday September 3rd 2010 DataBecker released both Web to Date 7.0 and Shop to Date 7.0 in German language. Within hopefully a few weeks we may expect a release of Web to Date 7 in the English language. As far as we know now Shop to Date will not be released in English.

Below I will tell you the most notable innovations in Web to Date 7.0:

  • Web to Date 7.0 comes with 57 basic designs. Including all variants, this means that there are more 1500 different and individually customizable designs available.
  • More influence, especially on the new designs by the newly developed system of "dynamic properties".
  • A comfortable selection screen designs with a search filter.
  • Easy integration of Web 2.0 Features like Twitter and Facebook ™ "I like" button.
  • Manually or automatically generated tagcloud.
  • Registry Cards as added structural module for the content of some pages - for better overview and less scrolling.
  • Creating Action Buttons for example, Downloads, Special Offers and Actions directly in Web to Date 7.0
  • Photo Stack and "Change banner" as an added plugin for the presentation of photographs and / or product presentations. I'm not sure if the name of these plugins will be the same in the English Version.
  • Control function with user-defined searchfunction with individually configurable categories such as (number of rooms, price: from - to)
  • Google Sitemaps extended with additional capabilities as <chagefreq> and <priority>
  • Improved backup capabilities for projects larger than 2 GB.
  • <alt> attributes in images, <title) tags for each page, link tooltips.
  • Some new designs can be displayed left or centered.
  • In some new designs, the "module" images can be placed left or right.
  • In Web to Date 7.0, it is possible to add a so-called footer in a very simple way, complete with HTML codes. (Below you can see an example of a footer)

There are also a number of new designs you have the possibility to show downloads including an icon. So for example a PDF file can be shown with an icon in front of the name of the PDF File. Here's an example: Data Becker has drafted a design overview made available in PDF, although in German Language so far only, in which for each design it shows what the design can or cannot do. So you can see all possibilities in a spreadsheet without having to design to find out the possibilities.

In a number of new and specially developed designs for Web to Date 7.0, it is possible use dynamic features, such as put a date in a nice way beyond a "module" .

I want to show below how an "Module", except deviding in columns, can be even more "decorated". To demonstrate this as clearly as possible, I used a new module possibility in Web to Date to Date 7.0. Namely the plugin Register Card. If you use this module on your website it will be shown as you can see below. Intuitively, it looks like all new modules are on a new page. In reality is not so. They are all part of the same page. They are only displayed differently. The main advantage of this module is the optical space savings that you win with it, so a page looks a lot easier. How the different "tabs" look is very design dependent, in one design they can be displayed as simple liinks, in another designs tghe tabs will be framed as you can see below. If you use this module you should definitely not forget at the end of the series "tabs". If you forget everything that you planned to show after the last tab will be shown on the last tab.

This is a module with a date beyond the module. This function is not possible in every design.

This is an emphasized module. As you can see a vertical line placed before the actual text. To further emphasize this possibility, I changed the text color, but that was also possible in Web to Date 6.0.

This is a module above which a thin horizontal line will appear and you can also emphasize as shown above.

This is a module where the font size increases. Of course you can emphasize it and/or put a horizontal line above. You can vary the font up to 200%.

This is a module where the font is reduced. Of course you can emphasize it and/or put a horizontal line above. You can vary the font up to 80% decrease.
